The development and regional patterning of the otic primordium is determined by the restricted expression of several genes. Here, we show the expression pattern of three transcription factors (Otx2, Gbx2, Pax2) and of a member of the fibroblast growth factor family (Fgf8) in the developing chick inner ear, and we correlate
